Service and Asset Policy and Framework Adopted

Last week, Wyndham City Council adopted the Service and Asset Policy and Framework at the monthly council meeting.

Cr Aaron An moved the motion and said: "This is an important strategic document for Council that will set us on the path to continuing to deliver public value to our community."

"As we see more and more people making Wyndham home, we have a responsibility to ensure that we continue to deliver relevant, quality services to current residents, while growing and adapting service provision to meet the needs of new residents." he said.

"Many of the services that we deliver, rely on well designed and maintained assets. Such as kindergarten services, libraries and community meetings spaces. "

Some principles, outlined in the policy, include: Outcome focused, Agile, Efficient, Accessible, Integrated, Transparent.

Cr An said, "Through this long term, strategic approach we are committed to ensuring that service and asset planning, provision, design and operations are service-led, with public value outcomes as the core driving principle."

The motion to adopted the Service and Asset Policy and Framework passed unanimously.
