It was much better than I thought, only stage 1 of the shopping center When more and more new houses are done and more people come in, it would be a great place

to be honest after I checked it out for myself it was a lot better than I expected. Guess I shouldn't judge before seeing firsthand. And ye it's just stage 1. So a lot more to come. Considering they are likening it to dandenong Geelong box hill CBd it should b fantastic once everything is done

But do u think that is it for the shopping centre? Think there's a few more shops coming but doesn't look like there is adequate space for further expansion within the shopping centre

For a suburb like Williams Landing those shops are far less than enough and a lot of commercial properties are hold by Cedar Woods, they have to do this in right way to keep their asset be more valuable just like what they said before to the public.

There is still quite a lot of land nearby for the later shopping center and town center. I don't think Cedar woods will suddenly turn into stupid and let what have been invested depreciate.  Just a matter of time. Hopefully these can be done within a few years.

Next stage has been approved including a Big W, according to the news today:

Mr Sadleir said money from the Masters sale would be re-invested in Williams Landing. The project's 8500-square-metre shopping centre with a Woolworths supermarket – a focal point of the 45-hectare town centre – was completed in December. The centre will have 21 retail outlets. "Planning approval for the next stage has been approved," Mr Blackburne said, anchored by a Big W store.

The mixed-use town centre will have office, residential, hardware, medical and other uses. Planned projects include strata offices and an aged care centre.

any plans for a school?  I believe this is now a main concern to everyone who lives here. if you see the other estates around, we are left behind.

a good and sustainable community is not just about business, education is another big part of it.

Hi Gavy, no school has been planned in Williams Landing yet. We have contacted local government: Wyndham City Council, they replied that there will be a public forum with staff from Department of Education to attend. We're still waiting for the response from the State Member for Tarneit: Mr Telmo Languiller MP.
