Latest data show unemployment rate in Wyndham has increased since 2008. From 5% to 9%, in March last year. The figure almost doubled in the past six years.

The situation has slightly improved since March last year, as the rate dropped 0.3% from 9% to 8.7%.

Comparing with the rest of Greater Melbourne, Wyndham and the entire Melbourne's West are disadvantaged.

City Councils should think seriously and ask themselves what have they done in the past six years and they should realize what they had done is probably far more not enough. They need to seek more opportunities and find more solutions to help the unemployment rate drop in Melbourne's western suburbs.
