They arn't going to commit to a time until they have their infrastructure in place. Roads and sewer etc. need to be built first.

Hames Sharley and NH Architecture are working in a JV on the Williams Landing Town Centre in Melbourne. The project concluded Design Development at the end of August, with Contract Documentation continuing untilmid November 2011 ready for tender.

Williams Landing Town Centre has been designed to respond to commercial, community and environmental expectations and will act as a benchmark for sub regional centres and be an exemplar of town centre integration. Some of the features of the Town Centre include:

- Town Square food & beverage, external to the shopping centre;
- Specialty shops, major supermarket and discount department store; and
- Foodcourt and kids play area.

It looks like there won't be BigW, not sure any more new tenants are coming?

Hmm. It wouldn't surprise me if they have trouble finding tenants for the shopping centre, being so close to Point Cook Town Centre,, Old Geelong Road and Werribee Plaza. Of course us residents will appreciate having shops so close but do retailers see it that way?

I'm not worry about competing with Point Cook Town Centre,Old Geelong Road and Werribee Plaza etc.

None of them is as accessible as Williams Landing. When you talk about business, location is one of the most important keys to success.

Instead of competing with surrounding shopping centres, what the council should do is to differenciate each, built each their own charactor and then those centres could form a much better business enviroment. As we know, there are already lots of businesses competing to move in.

The progress slow is not necessarily a bad thing. Better to get it right and properly planned and designed first. Rather than what happened in the Point Cook area.

Are they planning to have a spot for child care within the town center?

I'm sure there will be child care centres in the town centre. Mush better opportunity to reach a wider market than any other places in Wyndham.

i hope so john. the shopping center is good to have... considering it has all the shops in there. having point cook shopping center, and coles and aldi having their own shops i hope williams landing get atleast major shops under their hat. the only good thing is having a station. but again getting a spot for car park is a nightmare. most important schools and child care is missing. i hope it all gets started soon.

Location and ease of access is the most important. And currently, I don't think there is any public facilities been planned in WL.

We shoud not just hope, we should contact the couniliors and get the voice heard. Write to them or even call them:
