What kind of sports ground do you like to see in Williams Landing sporting reserve?

The current planned two grounds at the Williams Landing sporting reserve are a footy ground and cricket ground. This is really what the locals wanted?

Actually I prefer to have badminton court there. I know there are a lot of sports such as tennis, basketball, squash, swimming, footy etc. Something similar to MSAC Albert park it will be fantastic !!!!!!!!!!!

Hope that will have badminton court there.

Hi Uchiha, It's Wyndham City Council who make the decisions, not Cedar Woods.

sure but i think Cedar Woods lodges planning application for permit & the council approves/rejects?

Hi Uchiha, from my understanding, the land is council owned, Cedar Woods got it ready and handed over to the city council last year.

The city council had already started tendering process early this year, so hopefully it will start construction soon.

oh ok thats interesting. i thought Cedar Woods still owned the land & would hand it over after they complete whatever it is they were planning to do. didnt realise they handed over already!

so ye i hope we see something soon in that case, ive been eagerly anticipating it for a while

We were all waiting for it for a long time. Long overdue.

so is it true they are now planning to turn it into a school? i was told from a friend that when they moved into the estate, cedar woods were advertising it as a school, but then as they developed closer to the oval they changed it to a sports oval (probably to sell the land quicker?)

but now people in the estate are lobbying for a school & theyve reserved that land for it?

im not overly keen on there being a school almost at my doorstep because i bought my land under the impression there would be a sports ground there, but id be happy if it was going to be a GOOD school, with high end facilities & visually appealing.

The proposed school was meant to share the sporting oval with the general public. I think most residents would  be extremely happy if there was a school in Williams Landing,
